The importation of Animals, Animal Feeds and Ingredients, Animal Products and by-products requires a SPS clearance from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI). However, the process to obtain the SPS Clearance differs by product or animals imported. Certain Animals such as wild and exotic animals need a CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna) permit from Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau (PAWB) as provided in DENR DAO 2004-55.
